A little MVP goes a long way.
Have you ever stopped to think about your life as a story that God is writing? 📖
What if you could see each chapter unfolding with purpose and intention?
Visualization, when rooted in faith, isn't about forcing things or trying to "manifest" outcomes. It’s about aligning your heart with God's plans and imagining the life He’s calling you to live. It’s about stepping into the story He’s already written for you, with all the beauty and possibility He intends.
I’ve recently been inspired by Robin Sharma’s idea in his latest book about the power of MVP—Meditation, Prayer, and Visualization. When starting (or ending) your day with this trio, he suggests, we can elevate our days and align us with the best version of ourselves.
Note: meditation can look different for each of us. For me - rather than "emptying my mind," I am inviting in the presence of the Holy Spirit and just sitting in silence with Him for several minutes...just listening.
I've been starting my mornings with God for many years now, but only occasionally have focused on the visualization piece, even though I've studied and heard of the power of this practice for years.
Think of how athletes use visualization to mentally rehearse the key moments of their performance before a competition. A runner might close their eyes before the race and imagine themselves running effortlessly, feeling strong with each stride, and crossing the finish line with confidence. They might picture the course in detail, visualize overcoming challenges like fatigue, and experience the exhilaration of success. This mental rehearsal not only builds confidence but also strengthens muscle memory and focus, helping the athlete perform at their best when the time comes.
We can apply these same principles to living a beautiful, purposeful life! For me, visualization has been a grounding practice—especially in moments of doubt or overwhelm. When I close my eyes and imagine myself living with peace, clarity, and intention, I feel closer to God’s purpose for me. It’s a reminder of what’s possible when I surrender and trust in Him.
And honestly, I’m committing to the "MVP" practice in 2025. I’ve found that starting my day with these three sacred practices not only sets my intentions but also draws me closer to the quiet peace that God offers.
I encourage you to try it too—see how it shifts your day, your heart, and your connection with God. Start small.
Even 3-5 mins can inspire your thoughts, your feelings and your ability to take faithful, intentional steps forward each day.
