The Miracle of Surrender
Dear Beautiful Soul,
Have you ever been holding onto something so tightly—plans, control, or expectations—that you didn’t realize it was holding you back? I’ve been there too. For years, I thought strength meant keeping it all together, doing more, and pushing through. But I’ve learned that the true miracle lies not in grasping, but in letting go.
Surrender often gets a bad reputation in our culture. It can feel like giving up or losing control. But in God’s kingdom, surrender is a divine invitation. It’s not about weakness; it’s about trust. It’s about releasing our need to strive and opening our hearts to God’s better, bigger, and more beautiful plan.
The Magic of Surrender
When we surrender, something miraculous happens:
We find peace. Letting go of control allows us to rest in God’s presence, where true calm resides.
We make space. Releasing what we cannot carry creates room for grace, joy, and blessings to flow in.
We rediscover our strength. Surrender reminds us that we were never meant to do it all on our own—and that’s where God’s power shines through.
As Romans 12:2 so beautifully says:
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
Surrender transforms us. It’s not a one-time event, but a rhythm we cultivate—an unhurried practice of saying, “God, I trust You. Lead me.”
Living a Life of Surrender
What would it look like to embrace surrender in your life? Maybe it’s letting go of:
The need to control every outcome.
The relentless busyness that leaves no room for rest.
Expectations (yours or others’) that weigh heavily on your heart.
This week, I encourage you to take one small step toward surrender. Maybe it’s starting your day with open hands in prayer, releasing your worries to God. Or perhaps it’s intentionally slowing down, trusting that the world will keep spinning even if you pause.
Surrender isn’t easy—but it’s sacred. It’s the miracle that shifts us from striving to abiding, from control to connection.
I’m with you on this journey, cheering you on as you let go and lean in.
With BIG love,
Julie
P.S. Remember, surrender isn’t about giving up. It’s about giving it to God. There’s no better place for your burdens to rest. ❤️
